This table clock with a depiction of the face of the moon against a starry sky was made in Henrik Wigström’s workshop. The pearl-fringed moon is carved out of mountain crystal and set against tin foil, resulting in a delicate interplay of light and shadow. The moon disc is surrounded by an enamel dial with Roman numerals and arrow tips. The stars, made out of “rose” diamonds sparkling against a blue backdrop in guilloche enamel beams, form the constellations Ursa Major and Ursa Minor.
