"A Musical Journey from West to East" concert

On April 25 at 6:00 p.m., the Russian-Chinese Symphony Orchestra will perform in the White Column Hall of the Fabergé Museum. We are delighted to invite you to an evening where music brings together the traditions of East and West, uniting them into a single artistic whole.

The program is conceived as a journey from Edvard Grieg's elegant Baroque prelude and the Romantic lyricism of Max Bruch to the theatrical imagery of Georges Bizet, the operetta duets of Imre Kálmán and Franz Lehár, and the vibrant folk temperament of Gioachino Rossini and Johannes Brahms.

In the second half, the rigorous sonic architecture of Karl Jenkins's "Palladio" gives way to the world of tango — from the philosophical expression of Astor Piazzolla to the legendary melodies of Carlos Gardel and Gerardo Rodríguez, as well as the witty miniatures of Leroy Anderson. The closing "Jai Ho" turns this musical journey from early forms to contemporary film music into a shared hymn to joy and cultural dialogue, highlighting the uniqueness of this meeting of Russian and Chinese musicians in the White Column Hall of the Fabergé Museum.

Program of the evening:

5:00 p.m. — guest reception and tour of the main exhibition of the Fabergé Museum.
